Cleaning Jetted Tub Jets

Once the tub is full begin by adding the detergent to the water. Fill the tub to at least 3 inches above the highest jet or air hole with hot water. How to clean a jetted tub. Turn on the jets or air and allow it to circulate for approximately 30 minutes.

If you need a really deep clean you can attack the jets with a bottle brush and a nonabrasive cloth. Then add 2 tablespoons of liquid dishwashing detergent to the water followed by 1 2 cup of vinegar or bleach to disinfect the tub.

Empty the tub and refill it cold water is fine this time. If you haven t used your jetted whirlpool tub in some time you could be in for a surprise when you turn them on and find dust old soap scum even bugs blas. If you have removable jets pull the jet out and clean the interior and exterior with a toothbrush. To clean a jetted tub start by filling it with hot water so all of the jets are covered.

Run the jets for 10 minutes more. Without rinsing away the baking soda fill up your tub with water. Run the tub s jets for 15 minutes. Check the manual on jetted tubs to determine if there are any specific instructions for the jet settings.

To clean the tub and jets add the ingredients to the tub. Add three cups of vinegar to the water and turn on your jets. Drain the tub and rinse it well to get the gunk off. You don t have to fill it completely but fill it enough that the jets will run.

I tend to use cold water for the sake of conserving energy but if your tub is especially dirty hot water will help loosen the grime. At the end of a long difficult day relaxing in a jetted or whirlpool tub sounds like a bit of paradise. Scrub the inside of the jets with a dampened old toothbrush to loosen dirt debris and soap scum buildup. Flush the tub one more time.

You know the tub is clean you cleaned it yourself just a few days ago but when you fill the tub and turn on the jets strange black bits are swirling in the water. Flush accumulated gunk and bacteria from internal tub plumbing. Scrub gently with baking soda.
